Just as you’d expect from a company as sleek as John Lewis, their careers website is extremely well made and easy to use.
There are currently 376 jobs with John Lewis in the UK that are taking applications at the time of writing.
On one hand, this is very exciting.
So many options means that there is room for people of all backgrounds and interests and you’re almost guaranteed to find something that is right for you.
However, chances are you don’t want to scroll through 376 jobs if you’re looking to send off an application easily and quickly.
Luckily, John Lewis has you catered for this and incorporated a set of filters into their search function which makes whittling down the options a whole lot easier.
If you have something specific in mind you can use the keywords search box at the top of the page to type in something such as the location, role or position that you have your eye on.
Underneath that, you can enter an exact postcode and a radius which will hone in on the options that suit where you are currently living or planning to move to.
Both of these options can be left blank if you’re having a look from a flexible point of view and don’t want to rule too much out.
Underneath this section are some more forgiving filters that can be used to pick out jobs that suit you more generally.
The first of these is the “division” filter which lets you pick between Head Office, John Lewis and Waitrose.
This will still keep your options wide whilst letting you hone in appropriately.
Beneath this is “business area”. This filter will let you choose from your area of speciality so you just see the options that suit your skillset and experience.
Underneath this, you can choose between permanent and temporary jobs from the “vacancy type” filter.
Most jobs are permanent but you can leave it blank if you’re happy with either.
Once you see something you like click on its title to be taken to the page of the vacancy.
From here you can click on the green “apply now” button.
You will then need to create an account that very simply just requires an email address and password.
Once this is completed, you need to fill out the information formed including your CV details such as work history and relevant qualifications.
Once this has been submitted, all you need to do is wait for a response.
