How to search for job offers at IBM?

As one of the world’s leading technology experts, there is little surprise that IBM has managed to set up a website that is simple and slick to find vacancies on.

When you get the careers page make sure that you scroll down to the job opportunities section so you can see the search capabilities.

You can still feel free to look through the sections above this which offer a lot of great information on working for IBM, but you’ll see that the opportunities are listed further down.

There are a lot of job possibilities available in the United Kingdom for IBM (344 at the time of writing) which may initially seem overwhelming.

Whilst all this choice is undoubtedly a good thing, it may initially seem overwhelming.

Luckily, the company has integrated some filters that let you see just the vacancies that suit you best.

At the top of the page, there is a search box that lets you get very specific.

If you know exactly what it is like to get from IBM then type it in here and hit the magnifying glass to see the options most specifically related to your searching for.

If you don’t know quite so precisely what it is that you want yet you can use the job category filter to only see the options that are most suited to your area of speciality or interest.

If you can gauge what sort of level you would realistically be entering the company out then there is also a function through which you can filter by experience level.

It ranges from entry-level to professional and will let you just look at the choices that align with what you’re actually looking for.

Once you see something that you like or that particularly stands out to you from the whittled down selection then click on the job title.

This will take you to a new page that outlines the role, the responsibilities you have and what sort of qualifications you’ll need to be considered.

If everything looks suitable to you then click on the blue “apply now” button that can be found at the top and bottom of the page.

This will take you to a page where you can upload your CV and fill out your relevant information.

This is to join the IBM update list for further career information, but if you just want to focus on the one application for now you can click on the “no thanks, continue to apply” button at the bottom.

This takes you to another website where you need to quickly create an account.

This is where you fill out most of your relevant information and upload your qualifications and experience so IBM know that you’re right for the job

Some jobs will have. Make sure to take time on these as they are your opportunity to stand out from the crowd.

You can then send off your application at which point will you need to do is wait for them to get back to you!

How do I know if I have been selected?

IBM will send you an email when they have a decision on your application.

Even if you don’t get the answer you want on the first try, feel free to send off another application to one of the many opportunities they have available.

It’s so easy and quick, that there’s no reason not to!
