Since German supermarket stores Aldi and Lidl burst onto the scene in Britain, grocery shopping in the country hasn’t been the same.
The old familiar names were suddenly competing with lower prices, higher employee wages and a huge defection of customers.
Aldi has truly made their mark in Britain and things are still looking on the up for the super-efficient brand.
The company has lots of vacancies as it continues to grow. Being a part of this team means being a part of many years of even more growth that are on the way.
Here we lay out the simple steps to applying to work at Aldi.
First of all, you need to go to Indeed UK.
The page will direct you straight to the section where all of the job offers currently available are shown to you.
You will then need to create a profile as a candidate.
To do this, just click on: “Upload your CV”
A form will appear that you must fill in with the following data:
Email Address.
New Password.
Click on the checkbox next to “I am human”.
Then click where it says: Create Account.
You should then receive an email to the email address that you submitted that will allow you to activate your account. Click on it.
Fill in all of your information to create a profile and attach a resume with all of the necessary information to apply as a potential candidate.
As you’d expect from a company of Aldi’s efficiency, the careers section of their website is extremely simple to use and easy to navigate.
At the time of writing, there are an encouraging 100 jobs on their website that currently are taking applications.
Many companies use a filter system on their careers page but Aldi instead relies on a powerful search system that lets you quickly whittle down the options so you can just look at the things that are perfectly suited to you.
You will find at the top of the job search page a search box in which you can type in any specific job, role or related keyword that pertains to you.
If you’re coming from a certain careers background or have a specific set of skills that mean you’re best suited to some roles, then we strongly recommend that you make the most here.
You do not have to type anything here if you want to have a look at all of the options.
Adjacent or below this box (depending on if you’re on mobile or PC), is the location search bar.
If you want to stay where you live or have a certain place where you’d like to find work – maybe because you’re moving house – then type it in here.
You’re more than welcome to leave this box blank also if you are flexible with where your work is located.
Once you find something that you like the look of, click on “View job details”.
This will take you to the job page where you can click on the “Apply Now” button to be taken to the section where you need to fill out your personal details.
Once you’ve finished this, click on “Start Application Process”.
This will then allow you to fill in your CV details and write a cover letter.
Take your time with this as it will be the deciding factor in Aldi’s response.
Once this has been submitted, all you have left to do is wait or apply for another job.
How do I know if I have been selected?
With a bit of fortune, you’ll be one of the lucky people who get a positive response back from Aldi.
If they conclude that you fit the bill for what they’re looking for in a candidate for that vacancy then they will email you.
This email will contain details on what steps you need to take to move along to the next stage of the application process and possibly ask for more information from you.
Make sure that you used an email address that you check often when going through the application process so that you can view their message quickly and get back to them in a timeframe that impresses them.
If you don’t hear back from them instantly then you have nothing to worry about.
There are plenty of options on the website, and the process of sending off applications is so simple that you can take another shot in no time at all.
All you need to do is stay focused and follow the simple steps laid out in this guide again so that you can have as many attempts as you like until you get the answers you want.
Good luck, make sure to give it the time and attention that it requires so you put yourself in the best position you can.
